Benjamin Melançon was educated at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst on a Commonwealth Scholarship and studied journalism, economics, political science and information technology. A dedicated Drupal developer, he co-founded the Agaric Design Collective and has played a significant role in development of the current version of SCF. Ben also helped found and was elected to the board of directors of the Amazing Things Arts Center, which seeks to build community through the arts, and runs the center's annual fundraising auction web site; bikes almost everywhere; and served as a town meeting representative in his hometown of Natick, Massachusetts.
